Ta-dah!! Here is the new sink & unit!
It does actually have a white front not blue - thats just the cover stuff.

So, today the floor tiles were cut and laid down. Yet to be grouted, as are the walls but looking quite fine already I think.

I have opted for black grouting on the floor as I think we can get away with it. Plain white grouting on the walls. Surprisingly the room doesn't feel quite so small anymore. When it was first cleared it felt tiny.

The bath panel, sink and wash stand are yet to be installed / assembled - hence the clutter creeping back in. Also no decision has been made as yet regarding the step up to the bath. I fear it may have to be a fixed step to the left of the room as you come in which will mean losing the glass shower screen. I have asked them to consider a movable / drawer step underneath the middle section of the bath but no confirmation yet as to whether or not it will be possible.

Also included is a strange photo of my feet although it was intended as more of a scale shot to show off the tiles.

I have put the other floor tiles up on ebay, so hopefully there will be some takers for them but I am glad I was able to source these.

tiles tiles tiles

how can you possibly tell how they will actually look?

when one door closes, another opens

This is the hole at the top of the stairs which will eventually become a door to the loft space.

Phil will be installing the insulation which will be eco-friendly recycled plastic stuff.

He will also put floorboards down so we can use
it as proper storage space and take things out of storage.

a new floor and a new loo

New floorboards down and a new loo!

the seat was damaged so another one has been ordered, but it is fully functioning - much to our relief.
